The Day You Stop Learning is the Day You Stop Growing
Want enormous success? Choose learning, not entertainment.
“At the moment when we accept our weaknesses and stop deciding to grow, we’re the BEST we’re ever going to be. It’s all downhill from there.” -Ramit Sethi
Do you want to know the one sure way to remain in mediocrity?
Stop learning.
Yet, this is exactly what most people do. How many times have you heard someone brag how few books they’ve read since college?
One time at my old corporate job, I was sitting at my desk reading a personal finance book. A coworker approached me. “Is that for school or something?” he asked. I replied no, just for me.
“Wow, you don’t see that very often,” he chuckled. I agreed.
The reason most people are stuck in mediocrity is because they’ve decided to stop learning. They’d rather choose entertainment and distraction.
The moment you stop learning, you start declining.
You’re either improving to expert levels, or slipping into mediocrity. There is no in-between.
