I agree — a sure way to fail is to try all (or even a handful) of these self-improvement points at once. It’s too much to handle at once.

I think, as in all matters of improvement and progress, the answer is: one step at a time. We can reach long-term goals by building small but meaningful momentum with a few tweaks (waking up earlier, eating healthier, actually starting a projects, etc.). After that, we become more equipped and capable of doing more.
