Thank you, Dayenjoyer. You bring up a good point — it’s not like we plug our fingers in our ears and start yelling “blah blah blah!” if someone gives us advice we don’t necessarily want. It is up to us to filter what we want and what we don’t, and we can and should do that in a tactful and polite way.

If the bulk of the advice you take is from individuals like those influencers and those types of books, I think you’re in good shape (if those individuals truly know how to live the life you want to live). Most people don’t know how to live the life you want to live, and the main point here is to not get bogged down in sorting through these insights and spending excess time doing so.
