Thank you, Chris! Really, the word I might use to describe that scenario is “scary.” People get boxed in and tied down, and then they never leave! I had an old coworker who always talked about traveling abroad, but his minimum monthly loan payment was so high (around $1,000) that he simply couldn’t afford to live abroad, even if he started working. Sucks.
