I actually read Frankl’s quote this morning on another article. I agree in part with it, but I’ve come across many other authors who say something different. I think Bruce Lee captured it here:
“Success comes to those who are success-conscious. If you don’t aim at an object, how the heck on earth do you think you can get it?”
Lee is essentially declaring the opposite of Frankl; aim at success, chase it, target it and follow it.
Both sides make sense in different ways. Do you see any value in perspectives like Bruce Lee’s here?
